As cast iron can reach high heat on a low to medium setting, you can seal your food quickly and lock in the moisture, nutrients and flavours, producing succulent tasty meals. It is a very healthy way of cooking too as the cooking fat drains away and collects below the ribs. All grills have a specialist satin black enamel interior, its very tough and will not wear off when searing at high temperatures. It also promotes caramelisation of food and is very hygienic and easy to clean without the need to season it.
All cast iron pieces have a smooth enamelled base which makes it suitable for all hob types including Induction and encourages even heat distribution. Start your meals off on the hob and finish in the oven under the grill. The nature of cast iron means your meals will stay warm when brought to the table.

Here are a few tips for cooking with cast iron -
Cast iron heats up evenly across the base and sides of the pan, so keep your heat low and heat through slowly (low-medium heat) when heated to the desired temperature turn your heat down and the pan will retain the heat. If you find food begins to the stick to the base when frying then remove from the heat source for a minute, reduce the heat and then pop back on the hob.
When grilling and chargrilling always oil your food rather than adding it to the pan, this will prevent any unnecessary smoking. Always use an oil with a high smoke point like rapeseed or vegetable oil. When cooking meat be carefully not to turn it to quickly, if it doesn't release easily then leave it a little longer as it hasn't sealed yet.
Leave the pan to cool completely before washing it up.
