The original Abraxas Cookshop opened in July 1996 at the beautifully restored and renovated Heart of The Shires Shopping Village. Built in 1867 and in its former days a model working Victorian farm, the shopping village is now home to twenty two retail outlets. Abraxas Cookshop is situated on the top floor of a 3000 sq ft dutch barn, stocking every item imaginable from a pastry brush to state-of-the art coffee machines, cookware, bakeware, knives, electricals, gadgets, utensils and kitchen work stations.

In March 2004, Abraxas opened another branch in Regent Street, Rugby situated in the Independent Quarter of this historic town. The renovation was carried out in keeping with the nineteenth century building containing beautiful high ceilings, covings and unusual features.
After much consideration, we have made the difficult decision to close our store here in Rugby. We are incredibly grateful for all the support, loyalty and kindness our customers have shown us for the 22 years we have been on Regent Street. This special shop has been a big part of our journey, as have the staff we've been lucky enough to work with along the way. However, we aren't far away! You can find our flagship store just down the A5 at Heart of the Shires Shopping Village, we're open 7 days a week from 10am - 5pm with free parking. We hope to see you there, if you require any information regarding opening times at our Rugby store please contact us on 01327 341080, from the Abraxas team. Address:
The biggest renovation challenge yet, our Banbury shop was discovered in June 2004 in a very run-down condition. Built in 1867, this unique building, listed and in a conservation area, necessitated a complete restoration. Opened in June 2005, Abraxas Banbury has enjoyed positive customer feed-back. Local people were pleased to see this once dilapidated building transformed into a thriving retail business. The usual extensive and comprehensive range of cookware including knives, bakeware, storage, gadgets, utensils, textiles and work stations are displayed on the first floor.
Downstairs in the vaulted basement, we have our China & Glass section, including Emma Bridgewater pottery, dinnerware, glassware and table-top accessories together with a working coffee machine area where customers may `test-drive' the equipment and sample the result!
We were thrilled when the opportunity arose to take on these lovely premises on a prime shopping street in Northampton, filled with other independent retailers, cafes and bars. Opened in November 2006, Abraxas Northampton benefits from large ground and first floor areas, capturing the rural Abraxas feel into the urban town environment.
