Excellence in Housewares - Excellence in Specialist Retailing, Multiple and Large Independents category

Nominees had to be a specialist retailer with four or more independent stores. Each nominee had to demonstrate excellence in areas across the retail spectrum including product range, product knowledge, staff training, customer care, marketing and promotion, display and multi-channel retailing.

Abraxas do it again! Winner - Excellence in Retail Display 2013 – Independent Category

The criteria for this prestigious award was the demonstration of in-store and window displays, that promote originality together with the ability to maximise visual impact to the fullest extent.

Abraxas are proud to have won the Rugby Business Awards – Town Centre Outlet of the Year

This award was won by members of the public voting for Abraxas as their favourite store in Rugby. Out of 14 entries, the top five finalists were visited and mystery shopped by a panel of judges. Marks were based on factors such as store layout, customer service, service level, product availability and quality.

Abraxas were thrilled to be winners of the prestigious Excellence in Specialist Retailing Award for 2012.

Now in their thirteenth year, The Excellence in Housewares Awards, owned and organised by Progressive Housewares magazine in conjunction with the CHA, celebrate the achievements of all aspects of the industry from retailers to products, to marketing expertise.

Owners and sisters Helen Sparrow and Sarah George were delighted to win the coveted title of Specialist Retailer, fighting off some fierce competition from household names including Lakeland Ltd and Aga Cookshops.

Helen and Sarah were also delighted to be finalists in the Excellence in Retail Training category in recognition of their comprehensive training program for their highly skilled staff.
